Life Begins Outside of Your Comfort Zone
It's always in my dream to travel alone. It's not that I don't want company, It's just that I want to experience how it is to travel all by yourself. I want to know myself when it comes to given tough situation.
Recently I've been to a solo trip. I went to Bali, Indonesia for 4 days and 3 nights. Best solo trip for a first timer like me. I feel like I have been living in my comfort zone most of my life. I'm scared to try things out. It's always been my way of thinking that, what if things gone wrong? or things didn't happen according to my plan? That's is so tragic!! I'm a kind of person who always had a plan. I hate it when plans need to change in the middle of it. I get so frustrated and sometimes panic. When I panic I can't think of a better plan. It's like my mind is totally shut down.
What I learned on this travel is sometimes things happened beyond our control. I need to be flexible in any given situation. I remember during my trip I went to see this temple and didn't know there's monkey near entrance and the monkey stole my eye glasses as fast as the Flash. I was very shocked! I wasn't prepare for this kind of situation. What will I do? My eye glasses is my necessity. What I did is I asked the guide to help me out to get it back even if I'm very shy to ask for help. To make the story short I got my eye glasses back. Sometimes we need help of others and don't be shy to ask for help even if its a stranger but of course with caution.
Riding in a motor cycle during my trip is not in my plan either but I ended up riding one and its very awesome. For me riding in motor cycle is very dangerous thing pardon me I had lots of things that scares me most in life. As I told you I always inside of my comfort zone. Motor cycle trips is the easiest and fastest way to get from places to places plus its cheap versus renting a car/ taxi. If I didn't take chances on riding on it I will not be able to see the scenic places that Bali has to offer because I only have 4 days to stay. I don't want to look back in my life regretting things I should have done when I was young.
Lastly during my stay in Bali I live in hostel. Hostel is where you share a room with fellow traveler. Sharing a room with someone you doesn't even know sounds crazy, right? I'm glad I did it because it helps me to become more sociable. I'm an introvert person I don't talk a lot specially if I hardly even knew the person. Interacting with them during my stay gives me more idea what travel really looks like. These people I met have been to different countries for months. Hearing their experiences makes me want to travel more. The places they've been visiting, the good and bad side they encounter and even give tips on traveling.
Stepping outside of my comfort zone helps me to become more mature and be open to many possibilities. Yes, it's pretty daunting but you will never know what really life is if you will never try. They said "life begins outside of your comfort zone." I had the taste of it so its time for you to go and get one!

Life's Lesson I Learned from My Employer
I met my employer back in 2007 when I was 19 years old. They hire me as a nanny of
their kids. At that time I really need a job because my father loose his long time job. Since I
graduated as a caregiver I give it a shot. First week of working with them I see myself crying
at night in bed. I am so scared that I might not do well in my job, the kids might be brat or my
employer might not be nice. It turns out to be wrong, they're wonderful family. I admit
sometimes I do have roughed times with them but I guess that's part of it and it shapes me for who I
am today. Working for them for 9 years gives me a life lessons that I will treasure for the rest of my
life.
1. Do First Things First
I always heard this phrase to my employer saying it to their kids " Do First things First".
Everyday we are caught up with many things that aren't important at all and over looked at the things that we're supposed to be paying attention with. Applying these ideas helps me to be more organized and makes my everyday task easier. I make sure that once I get up in the morning I will do my top priority list even if sometimes I really wanted to check up my phone. Not just in everyday task but also in achieving goals in life. If you want to achieve your goal you must do the important things first, the things that will help you accomplish your goal this will help you succeed in life.
2. Plan Religiously
My Employer is a great planner. He plans everything either for trips, everyday schedule, parties, etc. Planning helps you visualize the things you want things to be. I know sometimes things happen beyond our control but with a plan you can over see things and create another plan. Now I learned to plan for everything. I write things down, like what is my plan for my life, finishing my studies, savings for my future, things I want to do before I turn 30, etc. Planning gives me self-fulfillment and it gives me a preview of my life.
3. Save and Spend your money wisely
I really admire my Employer when it comes to saving money. They come from well off family but they are still living a frugal life. They know how to spend and what things are worth spending for. They teaching their kids the value of money. No wonder that their kids go to school without money and just content to the packed lunch. They only ask for money if they really need it. Saving money is what I learned later in life. I used to be the person who will buy stuff without really thinking if I really needed it. Living with them taught me to save for my future. I learned that, before I spend on something, I really need to think twice or even thrice.
4. Take time to Travel
My Employer is a workaholic person but this doesn't stop them to travel. They keep everything balanced. After a long hard work its time to unwind. I think this is the way how they detoxify stressful work by travelling. Now I told myself that I should travel at least once a year to treat myself for all the hard work I've done. So when I look back to my old self I can say that I did an amazing job that I manage to travel even if life is sometimes hard.
PS: I will go backpacking in Bali this coming days and I'm freaking excited!! My first ever solo trip.

My Asian Institute for Distance Education Experience so Far is Amazing!
I really wanted to get a degree and become someone I'm passionate about. Finishing college is number 1 on my "Life Goals list". Last year I decided to enroll myself on a online education since I can't be a full time student because I also need to work. Patience pays on hours of searching on a credible and legit online education in the Philippines. Asian Institute for Distance Education (AIDE) pops out on my searching screen. I decided to call and get all the information I need. They're very accommodating.
I enrolled last year of April 2015 and started my first term that same month. I got so lucky because they offer the course that I really wanted. I'm taking up Bachelor of Arts in English. AIDE is currently offering 3 baccalaureate programs which is duly recognized by Commission on Higher Education (CHED )
A Bachelor of Arts in English
B Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
C Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Management
If you are interested you can visit their website click the link below:
