Life Begins Outside of Your Comfort Zone

It's always in my dream to travel alone.  It's not that I don't want company, It's just that I want to experience how it is to travel all by yourself.  I want to know myself when it comes to given tough situation.
Recently I've been to a solo trip. I went to Bali, Indonesia for 4 days and 3 nights.  Best solo trip for a first timer like me.  I feel like I have been living in my comfort zone most of my life.  I'm scared to try things out.  It's always been my way of thinking that, what if things gone wrong? or things didn't happen according to my plan? That's is so tragic!! I'm a kind of person who always had a plan. I hate it when plans need to change in the middle of it.  I get so frustrated and sometimes panic. When I panic I can't think of a better plan. It's like my mind is totally shut down.
What I learned on this travel is sometimes things happened beyond our control.  I need to be flexible in any given situation. I remember during my trip I went to see this temple and didn't know there's monkey near entrance and the monkey stole my eye glasses as fast as the Flash.  I was very shocked! I wasn't prepare for this kind of situation.  What will I do? My eye glasses is my necessity.  What I did is I asked the guide to help me out to get it back even if I'm very shy to ask for help. To make the story short I got my eye glasses back.  Sometimes we need help of others and don't be shy to ask for help even if its a stranger but of course with caution.

Riding in a motor cycle during my trip is not in my plan either but I ended up riding one and its very awesome.  For me riding in motor cycle is very dangerous thing pardon me I had lots of things that scares me most in life.  As I told you I always inside of my comfort zone.  Motor cycle trips is the easiest and fastest way to get from places to places plus its cheap versus renting a car/ taxi.  If I didn't take chances on riding on it I will not be able to see the scenic places that Bali has to offer because I only have 4 days to stay.  I don't want to look back in my life regretting things I should have done when I was young.

Lastly during my stay in Bali I live in hostel.  Hostel is where you share a room with fellow traveler.  Sharing a room with someone you doesn't even know sounds crazy, right?  I'm glad I did it because it helps me to become more sociable.  I'm an introvert person I don't talk a lot specially if I hardly even  knew the person.  Interacting with them during my stay gives me more idea what travel really looks like.  These people I met have been to different countries for months.  Hearing their experiences makes me want to travel more.  The places they've been visiting, the good and bad side they encounter and even give tips on traveling.

Stepping outside of my comfort zone helps me to become more mature and be open to many possibilities.  Yes, it's pretty daunting but you will never know what really life is if you will never try.  They said "life begins outside of your comfort zone."  I had the taste of it so its time for you to go and get one!
